"The Edge --- there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over."
Armand has a thing for pain. Not dealing it out though, but receiving it. It makes him forget what is to come soon. It makes him keep his mind off of the future. He’s grown to love the feeling of metal against or inside of his flesh, the crack of his own bones, the feeling of pure pain surging through his body.
Is it a turn on? It can be, in the right situation. But mostly, it’s a drug— something to keep him going.
